One morning in Prince Rupert, British Columbia, a woman was awakened by the cries of a kitten. After searching around her home, she finally discovered that the sound was coming from beneath the house.
After settling into her new home in Prince Rupert, Kelli was surprised to hear a persistent meowing coming from somewhere nearby. Determined to locate the source of the cries, she searched every nook and cranny of her house until the desperate pleas led her outside, where she discovered a tiny kitten trapped under the house.
Without hesitation, Kelli began to dig at the front of her house and found the kitten lying still, barely clinging to life. The poor little thing was all alone, with no sign of its mother anywhere in sight.
Feeling a sense of urgency, Kelli rushed the kitten to the vet, fearing the worst when it stopped meowing. The vet confirmed that the kitten was less than a week old, abandoned by its mother. Thanks to Kelli’s quick actions, the tiny furball had a fighting chance at survival.
According to Kelli, baby Oscar’s noisy meow was the key factor in rescuing him. She mentioned that the kitten, whom she named Oscar, unexpectedly came into her life when she moved into her new home. Kelli admitted that she wasn’t initially looking to adopt a pet, but Oscar’s persistence won her over.
