Tiny Kitten’s Remarkable Growth Journey at the Shelter – Reaching 1 Pound Milestone!

Kitten Barely Grew When He Came to Shelter. Now Finally 1 Pound!

When Ted first arrived at the shelter, he was tiny for his age of four weeks. However, we are thrilled to announce that he has now reached a weight of one pound! Stay tuned for more updates on Ted’s progress.

According to Saving Grace Rescue in San Francisco, California, Ted was saved by their team. They mentioned that Ted had a difficult beginning and struggled to thrive initially. When they found him, he was only four weeks old and weighed a mere 4 ounces, which is far below the average weight for a kitten of his age. A healthy kitten at that age should weigh around 13 ounces, so Ted was only a third of that weight when he arrived at the rescue. Check out their Facebook page for more updates on Ted’s journey. Don’t miss the video of Ted’s arrival at the rescue when he was just 4 weeks old.

The little red-haired boy was placed in a foster home where he started to flourish. With dedicated care from his foster parent, Ted began to show improvement despite many restless nights. Gradually, his hunger increased, leading to a rise in both his weight and energy levels. In just under two weeks, Ted managed to gain a whole pound, reaching a healthy weight.
