After roaming the neighborhood for months and searching for scraps of food, a fluffy cat finally stumbled upon a kind family’s home. Although they offered her food, she remained cautious and kept her distance. Introducing Cendrillon, the new feline friend with a name fit for a fairytale!
Chatons Orphelins MontrĂ©al, a Montreal-based organization, shared a heartwarming story of a kitty who wandered onto a family’s porch in search of food. Despite being hungry and in need of care, the kitty was too scared to let anyone near her for two whole months.
Celine Crom, a member of Chatons Orphelins MontrĂ©al, revealed that the family tried their best to earn the kitty’s trust, but she would always run away whenever they approached her. She was hesitant to accept any help and would only come out to eat when no one was around.
Fortunately, the family sought assistance and found a trapper who was able to set up a humane trap to safely capture the kitty. Thanks to their efforts, the kitty was finally brought to safety and given the care and love she desperately needed.
Chatons Orphelins Montréal shared that upon first glance, it was apparent that Cendrillon had not been born as a stray. They expressed gratitude that she was rescued from the streets before the harsh winter weather set in. Following a visit to the veterinarian, her age was confirmed to be two years old.
The volunteers at Chatons Orphelins Montréal found a cat that appeared to have been neglected. They realized she had not been spayed and seemed to have been used for breeding purposes. After treating her for parasites and grooming her, the cat immediately felt better and began to show affection towards her caregivers.

She adjusted easily to being a domesticated cat. “Cinderella was already seeking out attention and affection right from the start. She was a little jumpy at first with unfamiliar sounds, but she just wanted to be close to us. It made her feel safe.”
Now, all she craves is lots of cuddles.
Chatons Orphelins Montréal reported a heartwarming transformation in one of their rescue cats. Cendrillon, once shy and reserved, has now become a social butterfly craving attention and affection. She loves snuggling up to her foster family and dislikes being separated from them. Embracing her newfound confidence, Cendrillon is now ready to find a forever home where she can continue to bask in love and attention.
