Mini Cat Town recently welcomed five 4-week-old kittens who were rescued from the streets and given a second chance at life. These adorable furballs were brought to the animal rescue in San Jose, California, and were in need of a foster home.

One volunteer named Sonja stepped up to care for them, including Tina, the smallest tabby with the roundest face in the litter. Despite being tiny, Tina quickly caught up in size to her siblings. However, as time passed, Sonja started to observe unique characteristics in Tina that set her apart from the rest of the litter.

Sonja shared with Love Meow the adorable story of Tiny Tina’s first day at Mini Cat Town. She described how Tina’s initial shyness quickly transformed into curiosity as she explored her new surroundings. Within minutes, Tina was already showing a preference for sitting on someone’s lap.

As the days passed, it became evident that Tiny Tina was not growing as quickly as her littermates – Marvin, Aretha, Diana, and Nina. While her siblings were steadily gaining weight, Tina’s growth seemed to be progressing at a much slower pace.

Sonja from Tiny Cat Village has a unique appearance compared to her littermates. With a broader skull and shorter, thicker bones, she stands out. Co-founder Thoa Bui described Sonja’s determination to keep up with her siblings, engaging in playtime, wrestling matches, and cozy nap sessions just like any other kitten.

Sonja is a real sweetheart who loves spending time with others. Her go-to activity is simply lounging around with whoever happens to be nearby. Despite her siblings now being much bigger than her, when they snuggle up to her, it seems like she’s being engulfed in a warm hug.

Sonja from Mini Cat Town recently got a diagnosis for Tina after consulting with a specialist. According to Thoa, Tina has chondrodystrophy, also known as chondrodysplasia, which is a type of canine dwarfism. This condition is rare, and Tina was found with it. Despite her small stature, Tina’s personality shines brightly.

Sonja, from Mini Cat Town, describes Tiny Tina as cool and inquisitive. She always wants to be in the loop with what others are doing, especially when it comes to playing with toy balls and mice. Despite her size, Tiny Tina doesn’t back down and can get a bit fierce when it comes to her toys, letting out tiny growls to assert her claim. When playing with the bigger kittens, Tiny Tina gives her all to keep up with their energy and antics.

Lately, she’s been getting more adventurous with her climbing and jumping, which has led her to discover a whole new world of exploration. After her adventures, she loves nothing more than snuggling up in your lap for a cozy nap. If you’re not around, a fluffy bed will have to suffice.
Thanks to her newfound talent for scaling heights, she has found a cozy spot in the TV console that’s uniquely hers. It’s become her own little personal sanctuary.

Sonja over at Mini Cat Town has been loving her time with the foster family. They recently added some steps for her little buddy Tiny Tina to climb to even greater heights. Sonja, a curious tabby girl, is always on the lookout for new adventures, but she absolutely adores snuggling up with her human companions.

Thoa mentioned that while the kitten is currently in good health, there may be potential health issues down the line due to her type of dwarfism. There could be undetected malformations or new ones that develop as she grows older. Thoa emphasized the importance of finding a forever home for her that is willing to provide special care if needed for the duration of her life.

Sonja over at Mini Cat Town is doing an amazing job taking care of Tiny Tina. Despite being a bit shy, Tina is making great progress each day. She may be quiet, but she’s always paying attention and never passes up the opportunity to snuggle up in a cozy lap for a nap.
