A kind-hearted foster volunteer welcomed a pregnant cat into their home just in time for her to give birth to her kittens in a cozy and secure environment, shielded from the harsh cold weather outside.

In Birmingham, England, a stunning black cat was surrendered to the rescue group Wellcat when her previous owners decided they no longer wanted her. Expecting her third litter, she needed a loving foster home urgently. Emily Jayne stepped in to offer her help, naming the cat Winter. The sweet kitty settled in quickly, showing her appreciation with a cute purr that Emily likened to a dolphin. Without the rescue, Winter would have had to raise her new family in harsh conditions like she did with her previous litters.

Although we may not be aware of the struggles and difficulties she has endured, what we do know is that she has experienced plenty of sorrow. We are fortunate to provide her family with a loving and secure environment to thrive in.
Just 2.5 weeks after Winter made her way to us, Emily returned home to the delightful sounds of newly born kittens.

The arrival of winter welcomed four tiny and adorable bundles of joy – three stunning black kittens and one charming tabby. Right from the start, she has shown unwavering dedication and care towards her kittens, always there to fulfill their every need. “She’s a proud mama who simply can’t stop purring!”

Apart from being a loving mother, Winter also loves her foster parents and will start purring immediately when they come into the foster room.
Emily describes Winter as one of the most loving and trusting cats she’s ever encountered. She feels fortunate to be able to assist Winter.
After facing a life of uncertainty and surviving the challenges of the outdoor world, Winter is now happy and content, happily purring next to her kittens in their cozy bed.
