Rescue Kitten’s Heartwarming Mission: Caring for Tiny Foster Babies comes True

Rescue Kitten Begs to Care for Tinier Foster Babies, Gets Her Wish

Introducing Roo Russ, a tiny rescue kitten with a hop in his step, who is now taking care of even tinier kittens in need. Marnie Russ shared, “It’s fascinating to see how Roo connects with them in ways I never imagined.”

Little Roo Russ arrived at the shelter as the runt of the litter, much smaller than her brothers and sisters. It became apparent that she had a unique way of walking due to being born without elbow joints. Despite this challenge, Roo adapted by using her hind legs to hop and get around.

Marnie from the National Kitten Coalition was immediately taken with Roo and gave her a warm and loving home. Roo continued to surprise Marnie with her resilience and spirit.

The real magic happened when Roo met her first foster kitten at her new forever home.

Marnie often finds herself taking in orphan kittens that require constant care. She observed Roo, her older cat, taking a keen interest in cleaning and caring for the young kittens. This behavior is unusual for older cats, as they typically do not want much to do with newborns. However, Roo is eager to be around the kittens and even insists on joining them when Marnie feeds them or when they arrive in a crate.

Whenever I enter the room to feed the foster babies, Roo is right by my side, following closely. It warms my heart to believe that Roo sees a bit of herself in them, remembering the kindness she received when she was rescued. Being with the foster babies brings her so much joy and fulfillment.

According to Little Roo Russ, this particular kitten doesn’t match the typical image of the kittens that have entered her home. She hasn’t shown any sign of fear or aggression, and she seems to get along with everyone and everything she encounters. Marnie shared with Love Meow that Roo has a knack for wanting to babysit other kittens, and it’s difficult to resist her pleading eyes.

The orphaned infants adore their elder sibling from a different parent.

Little Roo Russ is incredibly caring towards her foster animals, always ensuring they are well-groomed and clean. She is currently seen giving a bath to one of the kittens in her care.

With a watchful gaze, Little Roo Russ keeps a close eye on her foster puppies as they frolic and have fun.

According to Marnie, Little Roo Russ has already been through about twelve foster homes since she was rescued, and Marnie believes she will continue to help out with foster kittens for many years to come. Little Roo Russ is passing on the same love and care she received when she was rescued to her own kittens.

With her watchful eye, Little Roo Russ prevents a foster baby from straying too far away. She keeps the baby by her side and shows them the ropes of playtime.

In the latest news, Little Roo Russ is now snuggled up with one of her adorable foster babies!

She’s a real sweetheart!
