Upon taking Mocha and her newborn kittens in, Angela realized that they were all suffering from calicivirus, a common illness in cats that can lead to respiratory problems and tongue ulcers. Despite the setback, Mocha continued to be a loving and attentive mother to her kittens, showing unwavering dedication to her little family.
Right from the beginning, Angela showed immense care and affection for the kittens. The tiny felines were facing tough odds due to their vulnerability at such a young age. Angela, along with Christy and Mads, formed a dedicated team to ensure the kittens received the urgent care they needed. They worked tirelessly, providing round-the-clock support including nebulizer treatments, tube-feeding, supplemental feedings, and eye drops. Angela shared their journey of love and care with Love Meow.
Against all odds, Cocoa and Peppermint showed a strong will to live and ultimately survived despite the challenges they faced. Angela from fosteringlove.pdx shared their story of resilience, mentioning that although not all the kittens made it, these two bounced back and fought hard to overcome their adversities. After making a remarkable recovery, they were reunited with their mother, impressing everyone with their strength and determination. Angela described them as “strong little fighters” who defied the odds and found a way to thrive.
