Two adorable kittens were discovered near a school, seeking their mother who never returned. A compassionate woman couldn’t ignore their cries and decided to give them a loving home.
Jess Thoren, known as @kittenbnb on social media, came to the rescue when a Brooklyn local found two abandoned kittens meowing for their missing cat mom. Despite waiting for hours in the freezing weather, the mother never returned. Concerned for the kittens’ survival, she took matters into her own hands and brought them to the Animal Care Centers of New York City. Luckily, Jess Thoren, a dedicated shelter volunteer, stepped in and offered to foster the four-week-old kitties.

Winnie, the sister (affectionately called Winnie for Winter), and Chill, the brother, were rescued and immediately showed their gratitude by snuggling up to their new family.
While Winnie was eager to explore her new surroundings, Chill was a bit more hesitant and shy. Despite their differences, the siblings formed a strong bond and have been inseparable since their rescue. Their story is a reminder of the power of love and companionship in overcoming difficult times.

Whenever she checks on them, she finds them cozily napping side by side in bed. Winnie, the mischievous one of the pair, doesn’t let her brother’s nap time stop her from having fun. She’ll pester him with ear nibbles and bunny kicks until he gives in and joins her playful antics.

As soon as they hear their foster parents in the morning, Winnie will start meowing loudly, prompting her brother to join in their morning ritual of demanding attention and breakfast.

Chill, the sweeter and clumsier of the two, always needs help to get on the couch or bed. He then cries until either the husband or wife picks him up.
The kittens are inseparable. When Winnie is taking a nap on someone’s chest, Chill is right next to her or sleeping nearby on someone’s lap.
Jess Thoren @kittenbnb shared that she has been searching high and low for the missing cat mom and her other kittens, but unfortunately, they haven’t been found yet. However, Jess assured everyone that Winnie and Chill are now in a safe and warm place where they will never have to worry about going hungry again.
