A tiny kitten found her way into the comforting arms of a friendly dog after being discovered unsteadily wandering outside alone.

Recently, a tiny wobbly kitten named Junipurr was brought to Mojo’s Hope, a rescue group in Anchorage, Alaska. Suffering from a neurological condition that made her unsteady on her feet, Junipurr didn’t let it stop her from being a playful little ball of energy.
“Junipurr was found outside by another rescue when she was about five weeks old. She has cerebellar hypoplasia (CH), a non-progressive neurological disorder that affects her balance and coordination,” explained Shannon Basner, the founder of Alaska’s KAAATs and Mojo’s Hope, in an interview with Love Meow.
Despite her challenges, Junipurr wasted no time in showing her zest for life and love for playtime as soon as she arrived at the rescue.

With the dedicated care of the staff and the companionship of a loving husky named Cinder, Junipurr thrived in her new home. Now, she awaits the day she finds a forever family who will shower her with the same love and attention she has grown accustomed to.
Shannon Basner shared that Cinder, a rescued dog, is always there to support other animals in need. She takes in foster animals and orphans, ensuring they feel secure and cared for with her warm and loving presence. According to Shannon, Cinder’s joy is evident when she welcomes a new feline friend like Junipurr, who immediately approached her with excitement, making Cinder’s heart full.
Junipurr and Cinder the husky hit it off right away when they first crossed paths. Cinder, unfamiliar with cats with CH (Cerebellar Hypoplasia), needed a moment to adjust to Junipurr’s unique movements. However, her kind heart and intuition recognized Junipurr’s specialness, so the awkward pause was brief before they were happily playing and snuggling together. The adorable husky and Junipurr bonded instantly.
Cinder simply adores her little furry companion and is always by her side, carefully monitoring her every move. Despite the kitten’s occasional stumbling, she keeps on playing enthusiastically, determined to catch every toy that crosses her path. Junipurr’s curiosity and adventurous spirit shine through as she fearlessly explores her surroundings. Ping-pong balls are among her top picks for playtime, and watching her zoom around her kitty condo in pursuit of the ball is a delightful sight. Shannon mentioned that Junipurr’s infectious energy also spreads to Cinder, who joins in on the fun by happily rolling on her back with her playful feline pal.
Junipurr is full of spunk and Cinder enjoys romping around with her. Shannon Basner shared, “Junipurr adores snuggling in your embrace as you serenade her with a soothing lullaby. As I cradle her, the rest of the cats come close, and I croon a gentle, melodious tune. It’s a wonderful way to wind down the day and guide them into a tranquil night’s rest.”
