Two kittens who share a special bond have been inseparable ever since they were discovered together on the streets.
Towards the end of last year, a shelter in Montreal contacted Chatons Orphelins Montréal, a cat rescue organization, regarding two inseparable kittens in need of assistance.
During an earlier rescue mission, volunteers had gone to pick up an injured stray cat that had been hit by a car. To their surprise, they also discovered the cat’s two tiny kittens.
The two sibling cats were nestled closely together and seemed to be inseparable. They both sported cute chin markings resembling a perpetual smile on their faces.
The rescuers couldn’t bear to leave the kittens on their own, so they carefully picked them up and brought them to safety.
Chatons Orphelins Montréal stepped in to help when a cat needed urgent surgery, taking in her kittens so they could receive care and socialization in a warm foster environment. The rescue organization reported that the kittens were treated for worms but were otherwise in good health.

The motherless kitten had taken excellent care of her babies, ensuring they were well-fed and healthy until they were discovered. Once they were taken in by a foster family, they quickly adapted to their new indoor environment.
Initially shy and dependent on each other for comfort, the kittens soon became comfortable with their caregivers and started to confidently explore every corner of their new home.

Babett and Tapeo, the two adorable kittens, are inseparable as they roam around the house. They mimic each other’s actions, with one starting to play and the other quickly joining in.
“They are fascinated by feather toys and are extremely playful and curious. Their favorite pastime is exploring together and finding new things to play with. Whenever we bring out a feather wand, they both come running,” the rescue organization revealed to Love Meow.
When they’re not busy running around, they can be found snuggled up together, grooming each other, and contentedly smiling.
The kittens at Chatons Orphelins Montreal have blossomed in size, personality, and love in recent weeks. They love being near their caregivers, always wanting to be close for a snuggle or some extra attention. “When you make eye contact with them, they immediately start purring. They happily come up to you for hugs, their little purr engines running at full speed.”
