A brave little kitty is showing remarkable determination by seizing each day with enthusiasm and zest.
Nugget, a tiny 3-week-old kitten, was discovered abandoned and sick with cat flu in a bush. The kitten was in urgent need of help and was taken to a vet clinic for care. A vet nurse contacted a local social media group seeking assistance, and Cass, a volunteer at Foster Kittens Of Melbourne, stepped in to offer help. Cass immediately agreed to take in Nugget to give him a chance at survival.
After a long journey, Nugget arrived at Cass’s home, still wearing a cute handmade hat that the transporter had put him in. Despite his closed and swollen eyes, Nugget was surprisingly cheerful and content, showing resilience despite his challenging situation.
Discovered hidden in foliage at just 3 weeks old, Nugget was fortunate to be found by Cass of @kitten.fosters. Cass and her partner quickly established a comfortable, snug nest in a playpen for the tiny kitten, feeding him with a syringe day and night. Nugget showed his gratitude by willingly taking his medication and allowing them to clean his eyes without fuss.
It was heartwarming for Cass and her partner to see Nugget contentedly rolling around in happiness before drifting off to sleep with a satisfied belly, content in the knowledge that he was in a safe and caring environment.

After some investigation, it was discovered that the kitten has elbow and hip dysplasia in all four legs, and mild Swimmers Syndrome in the hind limbs. Despite being deaf, the kitten has a unique way of communicating effectively.

Despite being deaf, Nugget remains cheerful and unbothered, finding joy in every little thing.
