A house cat appeared at a residence looking for a safe place. Just as attempts were being made to assist her, it was revealed that she had a litter of kittens hiding in the backyard.
Symphony the cat was recently discovered by the Coastal Bend Cat Rescue team after she was found wandering on someone’s property. The kind finders suspected that Symphony had been abandoned and contacted the rescue for help. Before any plans could be made, Symphony decided to make herself at home and gave birth to her kittens in the yard. Mary Huckabee, a CBCR Officer, shared that the finders described Symphony as very sweet and were hopeful that the rescue would also take in the kittens once they were old enough.

A kind-hearted volunteer, who already had other foster animals to care for, heard about Symphony and her seven kittens in need of a home. Despite being busy, she made room for them in her cozy space and welcomed them with open arms.
Thanks to the generosity of the property owner, Symphony and her precious kittens were rescued and brought to safety.
Symphony the cat welcomed her litter of kittens in the yard at Coastal Bend Cats. The mother cat and her little ones quickly adjusted to their new surroundings, with Symphony taking on her motherly duties and caring for her seven hungry babies. According to Mary from Love Meow, Symphony earned her name for being vocal and purring often, while her kittens were named after famous composers. Right from the start, the kittens showed a love for cuddles and belly rubs.
They have found a secure haven in a caring foster home thanks to the wonderful people at Coastal Bend Cats. Symphony, who has her hands full with her seven little charges, tirelessly tends to their needs day and night. Ensuring everyone is well-fed and squeaky clean is her top priority.
The kittens are thriving under Symphony’s watchful eye, progressing like a beautiful musical composition. They are now exploring their world by running and playfully tumbling with each other. Watching them frolic, wrestle, and snuggle up in a cozy heap brings Symphony immense joy.
All the adorable kittens at Coastal Bend Cats have been given names inspired by famous composers. Fanny Mendelssohn and Hildegard of Bingen are the bold explorers of the group, always eager to lead the way. Ludwig van Beethoven is more of a thinker, preferring to observe before joining in on the fun. Meanwhile, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Igor Stravinsky, and Johann Sebastian Bach are the cuddle bugs of the bunch, happy to while away the hours in a snuggly pile.
When these playful kittens start wrestling in their foster mom’s lap, it’s pure entertainment. Antonio Vivaldi, on the other hand, is a little climber who loves scaling everything in sight – whether it’s a cat tree, a food container, or even foster mom herself. Each one of these musical kittens brings their unique personality to the mix, creating a harmonious and lively fur-filled home.

At Coastal Bend Cats, Symphony is like a musical conductor, using her purring as a metronome to help her enthusiastic kittens stay in rhythm with the music. The rescue recently welcomed a solitary kitten who was in dire need of companionship. He displayed a lot of behavioral issues, such as excessive biting and scratching, typical of a singleton kitten.

After getting the go-ahead from the vet, they introduced the kitten to Symphony and the gang of composers. Turns out, they’ve taken him under their wing and are giving him lessons in proper kitten play etiquette. Hans Zimmer is now officially part of the crew!
With open arms, the coastalbendcats welcomed a solitary kitten into their large family. Thanks to the support of the community, Symphony and her seven siblings are flourishing in their foster home, now including their newest addition to the household.

In a couple of weeks, once the kittens have grown enough, they will undergo spaying and neutering before beginning their search for forever homes.
