Bjorn, a tiny kitten who was just one week old and had been left at the shelter with his siblings, quickly stood out to his foster mom for being a little unique.
Kelly from Greensboro, North Carolina, affectionately known as @kellyfosterkittens, recounted how Bjorn, a tiny kitten they were fostering, had outgrown the palm of their hand since they first held him. Despite his slow growth compared to his siblings, Bjorn’s determined foster family started Physical Therapy exercises to help him catch up and strengthen his leg and stomach muscles. Their goal was to ensure that Bjorn could eventually run and play just like any other kitten.
Kelly shared that while Bjorn stayed in their care to grow, his sisters were adopted together. They then took in Bean, who had been trapped on the roadside after a failed attempt to catch him for days. Bean was the sole survivor of his litter, as one had been killed in a car accident and another was missing. Being very timid and almost feral, Bean was in desperate need of a companion.
Kelly, who goes by the handle @kellyfosterkittens, decided it was time to introduce Bean to Bjorn once the vet had given the all-clear. The meeting between the two furry friends was nothing short of magical as Bjorn immediately took a shine to Bean. It was as if he could instinctively tell that the new kitten needed some love and affection, so he snuggled up to him right away.
Kelly, owner of the Instagram account @kellyfosterkittens, shared with Love Meow that Bjorn immediately sought out Bean and cuddled up to him on their first night together. Since then, the two kitties have been inseparable. Bjorn showed his affection for his new brother by showering him with love, kisses, and lots of baths, prompting Bean to gradually relax and show his true personality.
Kelly shared that Bjorn enjoys grooming Bean and their bond is reminiscent of typical sibling behavior, as they are always by each other’s side. Whether they are engaged in playtime, cuddling up, or simply following one another, they are inseparable.
